ABOUT US
FILMBERRIES was founded in 2007 by me (Ekaterina Ionova) with a passionate belief in the educational, personal and practical value of film-making in the lives of young people.
The focus at FILMBERRIES is on encouraging and empowering children to produce their own films, from simple animation to more advanced live-action shorts, film projects where kids have the opportunity to speak from their hearts, but at the same time to grow in confidence and self-esteem, and to develop their individual skills, creative abilities and talents through their involvement in film writing and production.
FILMBERRIES offers young people hands-on opportunities to explore the film-making experience from script to screen, in a safe, fun and friendly workshop environment, with experienced, dedicated and knowledgeable teachers and instructors who are practising artists themselves.
For the last few years, our students' work (films and animated films) have been screened in the various Film Festivals (both, International and Local) including TIFF KIDS: JUMP CUTS program at the Toronto International Film Festival.
